TAMKEEN MOSQUE
The Mosque is designed for Campus users to worship. The mobility on the facades was reduced and continued in a rhythmic manner. The purpose of the design is to highlight the main function of the building while preserving its simplicity. The water elements designed at the main entrance of the mosque are placed to direct the user to the courtyard. The user, who goes to the main courtyard on a spacious road, encounters a bright prayer area when he enters the Mosque. In the project, prayer areas are distributed over two floors. Located on the ground floor, it is the main prayer room. The second prayer space on the first floor interacts with the main prayer space on the ground floor while facing the Mihrab on the ground floor with the gallery space created. It is aimed to benefit from daylight in the mosque with the skylights opened with patterns on the ceiling.
